Back in Germany
We arrived back in Germany yesterday early evening to rain, but after much waiting and being on the road for about 20 hours with a 4 year old the weather did not much matter. Andy's brother Matthias surprised us by meeting up with us at the Frankfurt Airport. We had been expecting some friends to arrive with a large van.
Miracles do in fact still happen. I can attest to it. There is no way that the 6 pieces of luggage that we had, plus carry-ons should have ever fit into the vehicle. (I was doing some quick internal calculations as to how we could possible store or sell some of what we had with us from the car park at the airport.)
It worked out in the end quite well.
Tia, even while we were on the road, or should I say in the air, was saying to us, "I miss Nana and Gramps." It was indeed very sad to say goodbye, and Tia still does not know how to handle this. She told us later that she was "not crying but had tears" and that we could not see them because she "wiped them away".
The drive from Frankfurt
Careful what you wish for....
Here is an interesting article about the 10 most dangerous toys:
