Always looking for new opportunities
I was gone for a week. I did not know what was happening in my church when I returned even though I normally do as I am in the worship team as a guitarist/singer/percussionist. I was however pleasantly surprised to learn that on Sunday we had a visiting speaker from Burkina Faso.
Having been several times to French speaking Africa (of which Burkina Faso is a part) I was very happy to hear about the good news flowing from this region. Paul Kabare shared from his heart, and almost in passing he mentioned that he is looking to work with television in the capital Ouagadougou.
Then click, a little light went on in my head saying this is cool and that I need to follow up on it. (We were in fact during my time away praying for new opportunities - especially in regions of the world where it is a bit difficult. Burkina Faso seems to fit this description with 60% of the population followers of Islam.
I did not expect a "new opportunity" at my local church related to international TV in hard to reach parts of the world. God has an interesting way to share things in very unexpected ways. To be honest I really enjoy knowing that He works, but not knowing just how He will bring it about. His creativity is never ending.
God gives new opportunities and when he does we want to be a part of it. We have at the moment no idea if this will work at all, but we are praying towards this end. Thanks for joining with us as we continue to pursue this goal.
