Hartmannsweilerkopf, France

We ended up at a French Memorial to WW1 yesterday. It starts at a French graveyard then moves onwards up into the hills where the actual fighting took place.

After that you head east into the mountain and up to where the trenches are (and some 30,000 people died!) This is a video clip of the first part with a panoramic view of the Vosgesen mountains on which all of this took place back in 1914 to 1918.
