Loved and Remembered
I was thinking about the news of the death of newsman Mike Wallace.

His demise is being reported across American TV. And then I suddenly had this thought - I would call it a revelation if I were a bolder man.

People are people and we ALL want to be remembered when we pass. That journalists do this for Mike Wallace seems to me to be at least at some level a hope that someone, somewhere, somehow remembers them when they pass.

This is why gravestones are written in stone.

No one wants to be merely a part of a stream that once it passes is forever forgotten, No one wants to be missed just because their timezone means little attention.

We all want to be loved and remembered.

I am glad that I know I am and will be.
