Slowly Down

Slowly Down

When the days of summer wind slowly down
As the sunsets come with increasing speed
when the planet sheds its bright sunny gown
as the heat dissolves, it gets cool indeed

The days of autumn filled with amber light
put on a sweater - you’ll be needing it in the night
green turns to orange, red  maybe brown
leaves on the trees now leaves on the ground

It is the time that’s in between
temperate warmth with golden hue
It’s the best season ever seen
and then comes winter
