A Hundred Years Later

Is it just me?

I see amazing similarities between the world today and the world in which WW1 started.

 Change (some) of the titles in the circles to places like Iraq, Syria, Ukraine, NATO etc. and you will see it is pretty much the same.

There are alliances that have promises to each other. There are events happening in many parts of the world where these promises should have effect. There is a vacuum of clear power and there is little real leadership on the global stage leaving the field open to usurpers.

ISIS or ISIL. The Ukraine and Russian incursions, Hamas, secret attacks on Libya by Emirates and Egypt, Ebola, the many wars in  Africa about which no one reports. Chinese taking islands claimed by others and buzzing US planes in international waters. Iranian nuclear attempts. Just to scratch the surface.

And so much has weird complicated interconnections that could easily be so much more powerful than the longest domino fall you can see on YouTube.

I think all it will take is a well timed spark to set it all afire.

It should be clear to us that real security is only found in having a relationship with God who is the truest anchor - but I know this thinking makes me a crackpot.
