When the Tsunami Hits

The ground begins to shake, the waters start to rise
The earth begins to quake - it comes as a surprise
And soon a wall of waves will crash upon the shore
How than can I be saved with ruin knocking at the door?

There is a rock where we can build - unmoving, solid, certain, sure
There is a dock where we get filled - where waves of life can be endured

When the Tsunami hits, when wildfires roar
When storms tear all to bits, when you can’t handle more
When all around you falls, when darkness rules the sky
God hears us when we call, counts every tear we cry

And when life’s storms obscure, make good so hard to feel
God says “My Love endures My love for you is more than real”
When you feel lost in fear - abandoned and so all alone
God is still very near, He hears your every moan

All that’s been done to you Jesus has lived as well
and He can take you through what feels like living hell

When the Tsunami hits, when wildfires roar
When storms tear all to bits, when you can’t handle more
When all around you falls, when darkness rules the sky
God hears us when we call, counts every tear we cry
